Pegasus
Paragliding is the only school of paragliding in Atlantic
Canada. It was established in 1997 by owner and chief instructor,
Michael Fuller.
The school is located in the Cobequid Mountains of Nova Scotia.
These "mountains", so called in local parlance, were
created by tectonic upheaval and subsequent glacial erosion and
rise in places to 1200 ft (365m) asl. Near Parrsboro, these mountains
form a long south facing escarpment with many east and west facing
slopes that are washed by the steady breezes off the majestic
Bay of Fundy. It is on the more gentle slopes of these hills that
training is provided. Once secure and comfortable with their skill
level the students progress to the more advanced launches available
in the mountains or along the sea coast. The school has access
to miles of great coastal soaring.
